Dr Cheesman completed his initial medical training in Aberdeen in 1992. He worked as a General Practitioner gaining an interest in Industrial Medicine. He then undertook Specialist training in Occupational Medicine and gained Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2010. He has experience in working with a broad range of industries including oil and gas, pulp and paper manufacture, service industries and rail. He has previously been a senior medical advisor to the Accident Compensation Corporation. He provides opinion on fitness for work, rehabilitation after injury or illness. He also undertakes medicolegal assessments and holds contracts with ACC to perform fitness for work and impairment assessments using the AMA 4 Guides to Permanent Impairment. He is an approved doctor for Oil and Gas (OGUK / UKOOA), Rail and Maritime Medicals. He is a qualified Medical Review Officer and a member of AMROA. We can accept referrals from a GP under Southern Cross or ACC for covered injuries where rehabilitation advice or assessment of return to work is needed.

About Dr MacDonald is a Member of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians of London and holds registration as a Specialist Occupational Physician in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Germany. She has experience in a wide range of industries including Emergency and Disaster Response Services, Military, Hospitals, Customs and Border Protection Services, Transportation companies, Rail companies, Production companies, Childcare providers, Laboratories, Agencies, Public Authorities, Forestry, Fire Brigades, Wind Power Stations, Oil Industry and others. Raewyn has developed her interest in Occupational Health and has been providing onsite health monitoring, fitness for work assessments and drug screening since 2009. She has worked with a wide range of companies including construction, engineering, service industries, forestry and transport companies. Raewyn has worked as a Practice Nurse for many years and has wide experience in health and wellness promotion and education. She also has many years experience in acute injury treatment and management including promoting early return to work.

After working in banking for 10 years, then as a massage therapist, teacher aide and volunteer ambulance officer, Rachel graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2013. Worked as a Mental Health Nurse gaining a Post Graduate Certificate in Health Sciences (Mental Health). Joined Rotorua Medical Group - Achieve Workplace Health as an Occupational Health Nurse in 2015.

Jamie qualified with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2015 and has been working in the Occupational Health industry since graduating. She joined Rotorua Medical Group - Achieve Workplace Health in May 2017 and is currently working towards a Post Graduate Certificate in Health Sciences endorsed in Occupational Health through Otago University.

Dale joined Rotorua Medical Group - Achieve Workplace health in May 2017 having previously worked in sales and other administrative roles for 3 years. Dale has recently gained her Workplace Drug Certificate and is able to complete both instant and laboratory drug tests to the AUS/NZ4308:2008 standard.
